The excitement of tackling it will rub off on your relationship.

The scientific explanation: When people fall in love, they get activation in the dopamine system.  Novel or exciting pursuits also stimulate the brain to pump out more dopamine. The source may be different but because you partner was part of the experience, the exhilarated feeling is still connected with him or her.
